Short-Term Rehabilitation
All of our rehabilitation services are overseen by a Physiatrist, a physician specializing in rehabilitation medicine, as well as an additional physician that exclusively visits our short-term therapy Residents. Therapy services are delivered by licensed physical, occupational and speech therapists that are available 7 days a week.
Designed with a progressive team approach in mind, our rehabilitation offers a range of rehabilitative therapies to our residents. Our professional staff of therapists and nurses work together with the physicians, residents and families to ensure that each resident is receiving the most appropriate and beneficial treatment possible. Our state-of-the-art equipment and cutting-edge treatment protocols will ensure that each resident is receiving the most advanced treatment available.

Bridgeway Senior Living is certified as a VOHRA wound care center of excellence. This is part of our continued dedication to providing quality care to patients. We have met specific wound care criteria in order to gain this standing.

Having designated, accountable VOHRA certified wound care nurses in the facility seven days a week

Develop a verified outcomes-focused, physician specialist-led wound care program;

Prove that we have less than 1% of our patients be readmitted to the hospital for wound care;

Regular team meetings with a focus on quality and process improvements.
This means that our patients will be assured that when they come to Bridgeway, they will be receiving the highest quality of wound care, focusing on patient specific plans to develop results. Our patients with wounds will see shorter healing time, increased confidence and less time spent in the hospital. Of Elmhurst Memorial Hospital’s preferred providers, we are the only one to hold this designation, giving our patients the confidence that they are in the right hands.
